thank you for answering and questions lead to more questions. one how did you come up with the drawn writing and pictures in the books? second with the armor once more, when its for a commission and you have the time were do you pull the inspiration from or is it the same? All questions are welcome! To answer the first one, book illustrations in d20 Pony are done the same way as any other picture; first, I try to think of what the story is going to be, then I draw something that I feel is relevant. Because I usually draw the picture before I write the story, and because drawing readable letters in pixel art takes way too long, I usually replace any text with a series of unintelligible symbols. Not that I know how to write in Ponish, anyway! As for your second question, people who purchase commissions from me have always provided references of their characters and their outfits (which is very useful, by the way), so I'm usually not involved in the designing process.
